Re: Android 2.1 now available for Sony Ericsson X10

The manufacturer Sony Ericsson prepare the launch of a new smartphone running Android, or rather the update of an existing model, the Xperia X10, X10 HD form. While the owners of X10 Xperia smartphone launched in early 2010 are eagerly awaiting the update that would allow them to move from Android 1.6 Android 2.1 Eclair Donut, Sony Ericsson does not seem ready to offer them, since not ceasing to postpone. It is even possible that the long-awaited upgrade never see the day when we know that the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer is currently preparing the launch of a new version of the X10 equipped Xperia Android 2.1 and called Xperia X10 HD .

The smartphone Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 HD should be well equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1 GHz QSD8250 coupled with 256 MB of RAM, running on 2G / 3G / Wi-Fi, integrated A-GPS chip, providing capacitive touch screen LCD in a 4-inch 480 x 854 pixels resolution with treatment against scratches, have a 8.1 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, 16x digital zoom, smile detection and geotagging, offering a media player with 3.5 mm audio output for headphones and include a 1 GB internal memory expandable to 16GB with a MicroSD slot / microSDHC and sync with USB 2.0 / Bluetooth 2.1. I did the update packages for attention but not full Internet, the configuration automatically switches to full internet package so out of risk.

Even if not having a backup restoration does me no application and reinstalled from the web is much more network problems. And many other problems ... I do not like the new appearance of the XPERIA x10 2.1, the characters are much larger, bold and high contrast. In addition with version 1.6 we could implement the notification to receive a sms / mms with the led, it is now impossible to do that! a little disappointed with this new version 2.1.

Re: Android 2.1 now available for Sony Ericsson X10

PC Companion will not work for Update 2.1? Uh, that would be very strange, the Update is the manufacturer who makes it, because most of the work is to adapt the hardware and applications from the manufacturer. And only then it declines and adapts the update to each operator, or rather Sony asks permission SFR to make available this update to its subscribers. So Sony will offer this Update through its in-house product, PC Companion, which I'm missing something. Why although it another Sony product for this Update, "Update Service" but it's much less convenient. Afterward, if indeed the Sony Update for Flash (Android 2.1) is not in (whereas Sony had a huge backlog ...) while SFR reason to block this Update until Sony fixes it. But good luck is the one who can say the 2 between Sony and SFR which is most responsible for the delay. Sony was already a lot anyway, after SFR has not so much to do, but if Sony is offering a bugged Update ...
