Re: Is it worth buying ASUS Eee PC 1015PW Sirocco

Unfortunately, our suspicions were misdirected. The slogan "Making waves" ASUS has finally taken effect, and as we advanced in an article a couple of days, the novelty in this new Eee PC range Sirocco focuses simply on the exterior design of the new netbooks. A wavy finish case with very good looking, but that poses no technological advance that improves the user experience, and that inside, we found an Eee 1015PW (or rather, a camouflaged 1015PEM) with Windows 7 Starter, Atom N550 and 10.1-inch screen.

Little, or at least not surprising for the times, but we will always uncertain color to choose from: silver, gold or purple. Do not you think it's time to put the batteries ASUS with its Eee PC range? We leave you with a video that could save the NewGadgets during CES blog where you can see over the final appearance of this new series.

Called "Sirocco", it features a dual-processor Intel Atom N550 heart clocked at 1.50 GHz, combined with a graphics chip Intel GMA 3150, 1GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250 GB hard drive Three USB 2.0 ( and not 3.0 as some on Eee PC), a Gigabit Ethernet port, an SD card reader, a VGA camera (640 x 480 pixels), microphone input, a headphone jack, VGA output, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi- Fi N connectivity make up and accessories.

It revolves around the perennial naturally WSVGA screen (1024 x 600 pixels) by 10.1 inches (25.7 cm) diagonal measurement between 23.6 and 36.4 mm thick and weighs 1.25 kg with its battery of 48 Wh 6-cell giving autonomy announced 10 hours, despite its relatively powerful CPU. Coated with a textured paint purple, pink or gold, the "Asus Eee PC 1015PW" will finally soon retail price of 350 euros.
