charging an ipad with a kindle charger

Will i risk damage to my ipad if I use my Kindle wall charger to try and charge it?
I'm travelling and only have a kindle wall charger with me, left the 10w ipader at home...
    Thank You All.
(just a little paranoid about hurting the new pad)

You should check the amount of the voltage that the kindle charger provides. If that provides the same voltage then there should not be any risk by charging that. But still there are few chances that it may leave some bad effect on it. You should use that only in the condition when you do not have the standard source for charging.
