If you are using a public or shared computer, you may want to reset Safari to prevent unwanted incursion. Resetting Safari clears the history, empty the cache, clear the Downloads window and remove cookies. This also has the effect of removing names and passwords stored user data and other AutoFill and delete search entries. In addition, all windows are closed and open a new window is opened. In this new window, the history of Back and Forward buttons and knobs SnapBack is also reset.

Select Reset Safari from the Safari menu and click Reset.
If you reset Safari cookies set by other applications, including Sherlock, may also be deleted.
But, yes, it's hard to look in the help and we do not necessarily think :-)

Yeah, great for this. PhoneClean can help you do that too, removing junk files & clearing private data on iPhone including App Caches/Cookies/Temp files/Crash Logs, Photo Caches, Safari Cookies/Caches/History, and so on.
