iPhone 4 does not work when paired with my Mercedes Benz bluetooth telephone system

I have recently purchased a iphone 4 and started getting the problem when i am paired it with my Mercedes Benz Bluetooth telephone system. With my previous iphone 3GS it was working fine and within few seconds i was able to load the address book. But on my new iphone 4 i am not able to synchronize the address book. This issue is quite annoying to me. Now i am looking to have a solution in order to solve this issue on my phone. Does any one have any idea related with this issue? Please provide me some help. I have a solution for this problem. Go through the following steps.

1. Open the Bluetooth settings screen on your iPhone.
2. Then you need to press the Mercedes logo.
3. Hold it for approximately three seconds.
4. After doing this your car will show “Hands-free" on your iPhone.
5. You need to select this.
6. Now it will ask you to enter the code.
7. There you need to enter the code "62872".

After referring your post i have tried to implement your solution and it worked perfectly on my device. Now i am able to load the address book even on my iphone4 device. I appreciate your help as it helped me in solving my issue. I would now like to thank you for providing me the solution and helping me.

I am having a iphone 3GS and recently i have updated it to iphone4. Ever y thing was working fine, but suddenly started getting the problem. Today when i switched "audio source" from car to the phone, i was unable to connect it back. My phone is shown in the car menu, but there is no phone connection. If there anyone who is having some solution related with this issue? Please try to help me out.

I will advise you to do the following things

• Try to reboot the phone.
• Try to reset the connection.
• Try to delete all previous pairing in the car.
• You can try to check your phone on the other car, whether it is working or not.
