iPod Touch: cannot be determined Location? Hi all, I have already submitted the location to Skyhook Wireless. I ran a program that can be typed in a MAC address and that will give you the physical location. But after doing that also when I click on Find Me button which is built on Maps app on my ipod then it shows me the message that "Your location could not be determined". I rebooted the system many times but this does not solve the problem for me. I also don?t know any way to contact the Apple about this problem. Please help me if you have any suggestion for this. Thank you!!! |

Re: iPod Touch: cannot be determined Location? I think that you should try to reset the location service warnings and see whether it works or not? Location warnings are nothing but the request that is made by the applications like Camera, Compass, and Maps as well. If you want to change that an application should or should not access Location Services data then you have to go to the individual settings in that app. Go to Settings > General > Location Services. You can also make all the application to prompts you to for the location warning by using Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location Warnings. I wish that this will solve the issue for you. |

Re: iPod Touch: cannot be determined Location? You may think that the problem is with the channel but I would like to tell you that this is not because of the channel. You should try to connect to internet using safari and see whether you are able to connect to the internet. If you are not able to connect to internet then you should check for the MAC filtering that whether it is enabled or not. If that is not enabled then you have to enable that. |

Re: iPod Touch: cannot be determined Location? Have you checked for the settings for the registration on your iPod? It should have the location settings enabled. If it does not have the location settings enabled then also it may cause such problems. Make the location service enabled and see whether it helps you or not? This was the problem when I was facing the problem. |

Re: iPod Touch: cannot be determined Location? If you want to use the location service/Maps feature work in the iPod then you should have the surrounding area of Wi-Fi signal. Therefore you have to make sure that you are in WiFi area and you have turned on location service in the iPod. Just check for these two things and try to locate it again. This time I think that it will work without .any issue. |
