Google sync on Windows Phone 7

I am using a new LG optimus 7 mobile phone from last week. And this mobile phone is running on the latest Windows Phone 7. I want to sync my phone from the Google Sync but I don’t know how to do it. I don’t want to take any chance with my mobile phone because this is based on the new operating system and the other thing is this handset is very costly. Someone can please help me out? Thank you

To set up Google Sync on your Windows Mobile device, please follow the steps given below:

Important Note: Make sure that you have backed up any Contacts and Calendars from your phone to your computer before proceeding.

    1. Open the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync application on your device's home screen.
    2. Click Set up your device to sync with it.
    3. Enter m.google.com as the server address.
    4. Ensure that the SSL option is selected.
    5. Click Next.
    6. Enter your full Google Account email address as the User name.
    7. Enter your Google Account password as the Password.
    8. Leave the Domain field empty. If your device requires you to enter a domain name, enter google.
    9. Click Next.
    10. Check Contacts, Calendar, or Email, depending on which you'd like to sync. (Tasks is not supported and will lead to an error if checked.)
    11. Click Finish.
    12. Press the Sync soft key on the left to synchronize.

You've now set up Google Sync for your Windows Mobile device.

Re: Google sync on Windows Phone 7

Windows Phone was originally designed to use Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) to synchronise Google email, contacts and calendars. However, Google has discontinued support for EAS on new devices. Because of this change, Google accounts set up for the first time on phones running the latest version of the Windows Phone 7 software (update 7.10.8862.144) will synchronise just email, using IMAP instead of EAS.
