Nokia 5130 phone memory problem

Whenever I try to apply a new theme or install an application I am getting an error on home screen ''phone memory is full delete some data'' then I check the phone memory status that only 2.8mb is in use and only 83kb is free, actual phone memory of my mobile is around 24mb what should I do thank you

Well, as you said the memory is about 24 MB, just 2.8 is used but still showing just 83 KB free,, that means there is some strange conflict in the memory. What you can do is move all your media files to memory card, remove memory card, take backup of your device like contacts message using pc suite and do a hard reset or format the phone. This can be done simply by entering teh following code " *#7370# ", and enter default security code i.e. 12345. Thats it.'
