    Browser Configuration on BlackBerry Torch

I thought that the BlackBerry will be good one to provide me with good services, but instead it has started to come up with lots of trouble. I will be glad if someone can help me with the browser settings of the BlackBerry. I do not know what the problem with this thing is but I simply cannot connect to the internet with the 3G connection. Can you all help me with that? Any suggestion on this will be really appreciated.

I just wanted to ask you this, when did it start to happen with you? Means were you able to connect to the internet at first, or you did something weird with this and because of which you started getting trouble. I do not think you need to do something with the settings of the browser. If the things are right with the phone then you are bound to get the things correctly.

Crespin, I totally agree with what you said. In addition to this I have something for you that can help you to set the browser to the default. Just follow the steps below and I am sure that once the browser is set to default you will get the internet connection.
    1. On the Home Screen click the Options
    2. Then after that click the Advanced Options.
    3. In the Advanced Option you will have to click on the Browser.
    4. This is the main step, her you will have to set the field’s default browser configuration.
    5. Once this has happened then you will be required to press Menu.
    6. At the last click Save.

If you are finding difficulty with the current browser then I think you can go with some other browser. If you wish you can change the Default Browser of yours, and for that you will have to so the following things:
    • You can see the Navigator on the Home screen click that option.
    • After clicking the Navigator press Menu.
    • Then click Options.
    • Under the Options click General Properties.
    • Set the field Default view.
    • After setting the field press Menu.
    • At last click the Save Options.

I am sure that your Torch doesn't have the correct service books and also the carrier of yours can not send them because they are unable to support the Torch. I think that you will have to install the service book manually in your case. If a Torch is linked to a BES server then I am sure that it will get a browser from that. Please see for this and get it verified from the ISPO of yours. Hope that you will find this helpful.

Hi, currently the only connection I can get is from the BES which is painfully slow... does anyone know how to change this so I go directly through my telco provider?

In the old blackberry there was a choice of browser, but this appears to have been removed..????
