Acer Aspire 7736Z-4088 will not accept password

I am having an issue with the Acer Aspire 7736z-4088 of mine which is not working with the password. When i keep my system on the Sleep Mode or hibernate mode and it is waking up from the sleep/hibernate it ask for the password. I have typed the password but it does not accept the same. Also the num key is locked. If you are having any solution then please let me know about the same. Thank you.

I think this is the issue with the User account which might corrupted and that is why you are getting the issue with the same. I found only one solution is to delete the User account and create the new user account. For deleting the account you have to login as admin account then only you can perform the same.

It seems to be the issue with the BIOS which is got bad file in it and that is why not functioning properly. To get rid of the issue you have only one option is to update the BIOS of the system and then only you can work with the issue of yours. I have gone through the same and let me tell you that this will resolve the issue of yours.

I will advise you to go with the below given step and see whether you are getting resolve the issue or not. I hope this will resolve the issue of yours.

Click on the start
Now go to the Control Panel
Here you will find the power option just click on that
Then go to the advance tab
Here you have to unchecked the Prompt for password when computer resumes from standby
And that is how you can do it

I am also having the same issue and i have tried the below given instruction and then issue of mine got resolve. If you can then go through the same and see whether it is working for you or not.

Go to the Control Panel.
Then to the Power option and look for the power plan and select one.
Now click on the Change plan setting link
Then to the Change advance power setting link
Afterward hit the Change settings that are currently unavailable link
Now make the change in the Require a password on wakeup. And its done

If nothing from the above replies are working for you and you are still looking for working solution for this then i will advise you to contact the Acer team regarding the same and see whether the issue got resolved or not. I have same issue with the device of mine and i have contacted the Acer and their tech team resolved the same.
