The Notebook (Acer Extensia 2902, Win XP Prof SP2) will not start. While the unit is on standby to go, wanted to hold the Power button. This brings it back from sleep normally. Since then blank screen. Can not the BIOS. Can not boot from CD. Fan runs short. Indicator light for power is on. Whether with or without power supply. RAM I have also taken out already. Moment left outside, exchanged and swapped back. 30 min completely without electricity (no power and no battery). Drives away. All without success. Reset button does not exist. Does anyone have any other idea what you could do.

The problem is that this has not started, but unfortunately half of the tip from the memory and back on and lean not. I searched on the internet and found out that the problem with this Notebook most frequently occurs and it is easy to fix with a BIOS reset. The contact that must be bridged to be reset to the BIOS is located under the memory and is labeled J1! Probably some increase in one and the memory of this contact bridges.

It seems to be the problem with the operating system which wont be able to load any drivers on the first and hence it is not moving further to boot the whole system startup. I suggest you to reinstall an operating system which might not be showing any such faults. But make sure that you are having all the latest drivers to reinstall on a new copy of an Windows OS.

Most probably this would be an issue of an operating system which you should get repaired. I suggest you to format your hard driver first and but remember the back up is must. Then you install the new OS on your laptop and then fill up your hraddrive with the backup by scanning it as well.
