Will Blackberry 9550 get OS 6?

I am using the blackberry storm phone 9550 from a long and the performance is not as good as i have expected at the time of the purchase of the phone. Recently i heard that blackberry will provide a new operating system OS6 fro the blackberry storm 9550 in a few week. So it is true or not, whether it is a rumor or reality please provide me with the details.

Unhappily blackberry OS 6 takes up about 280 MB memories in the phone. As you are familiar with, the Storm2 only had 256MB. This is why there should be a Storm2 Odin refresh that will have 512MB memory. Campaign without a touch screen only use about 180MB of memory with OS 6. This is why the 9700, 9650, and 9100/9105 should all get OS 6. So there is no clear announcement from the blackberry side about the product and they said it will be available shortly.

As you have mentioned above that it requires a larger amount of memory for the operating system to be install so it is possible to install the blackberry OS 6 on blackberry Storm 9550 or not and if not so what should i do to increase the performance of the phone, any suggestion on the topic will be appreciated by me.

The blackberry recently announced that they will launch the new blackberry OS 6 for most of there smartphones but the major doubt in the mind of the consumer is that about the memory that it will consume to get installed no the phone. As you have stated that your phone is storm 9550 so there will be a problem with the memory and it will not installed on your phone.

Blackberry recently announced about the launch of the new OS 6 for Blackberry phones but the issue here is with the phones which has a lesser memory than 256 MB because it requires minimum of 280 MB of memory to get installed on the blackberry phones. So in your case there is no alternative available but blackberry said that they will launch another version for these phones so keep waiting till then and enjoy with your current blackberry Storm phone.
