Step by step: how to add mp3 files as ringtones and how to add games to the
Samsung Instinct ( M800 )
General Requirements
Your mobile phone (of course ) USB data cable for your phone BitPim Samsung Mobile USB Driver 4.40.7.0 v1.6 MP3 ring tone , or a JAR and JAD for an application or a game Preparation Tool v1.2 Ensure that the file extensions are visible. To do this, open Control Panel > Folder select the View tab and make sure Hide extensions for known file types under Advanced Settings is unchecked.
Installation Driver
You must perform these steps once.
* Run setup.exe from the driver Samsung Mobile USB 4.40.7.0 v1.6
* Connect your phone to your computer via the USB data cable and wait Windows has finished installing the USB driver for your phone.
Procedure
Do not turn your PC to connect to your phone.
1 Connect your phone to your computer with data cable USB and start BitPim . Select Edit- > detect phone and click OK when your phone is located .
2 Make sure View- > View system files is checked, then select File System in the left menu and navigate to /brew/ mod / Obigo / jas / index .
3 In the contents of /brew/ mod / Obigo / jas / index , note the highest numbered txt file and add 1 to the number . We call the result of the index, we will use in step 7. ( If the highest is 9 # index obtained at 10.)
4 Start Preparation Tool v1.2 but do not close BitPim . In preparation tool , so that the first three fields are set correctly .
5 If you download a ringtone , click Browse ... , navigate to the folder that contains your MP3 ring tone , select your MP3 ringtone , and then click Open. If you download a application or a game, click Browse ... , navigate to the folder that contains your application or game, select the JAR and JAD file (press and hold Ctrl to select multiple files), then click Open.
6 Preparation Tool automatically suggests a display name , which is what will appear on your phone with the name of your ringtone , app, or game. You can edit this field for what you want.
7 Set the index value was determined in step 3.
8 Click Browse ... , select an output folder for files that you download to your phone, and then click OK .
9 Click Create files ! If you did everything correctly , you will see a message box that indicates success. Click OK.
10 Open the file and exit back to BitPim . Arrange the two windows as that the files in the output folder and the contents of /brew/ mod / Obigo / jas / index in BitPim are visible. Drag and drop the file index.txt (eg 10.txt ) from the output folder in the content area /brew/ mod / Obigo / jas / index in BitPim . Once the transfer is complete , you can see the file index.txt in the content /brew/ mod / Obigo / jas / index .
Access 11 / mmc1/jas/content in BitPim
12 If you download a ringtone , drag and drop the file index.dd (or for Bell index.gcd file ) file and index.gc (eg 10.dd and 10.gc ) from the output folder in the content area / mmc1/jas/content in BitPim . If you download an application or game , drag and drop index.jar index.jad file and the file (eg 10.jar and 10.jad ) from the output folder in the content area / mmc1/jas/content in BitPim . Once the transfer is completed (the transfer progress bar appears at the bottom left of the BitPim window ), you will see both files in the contents of / mmc1/jas/content .
13 Unplug the USB data cable for your phone, switch off your phone, then turn on . Once restarted, your phone will be ringing the new , app, or game installed .
