Cannot hear Ringtones and Sounds from Blackberry 9900

My BB 9900 suddenly becomes silent and I cannot hear any sound from the phone at all. The sound means phone ringing, message alerts, etc. The phone is not in silent mode and the profile is set to Normal. However there is no mute button to do so. The problem is then solved by resetting. I really don’t get it where the sounds were gone?

BlackBerry fans who bought the Bold 9900 might have experience issues with the phone, which makes the device unusable during the phone calls. I have heard that resetting the phone does not solve the problem and also no use if users simply take the battery and then put back in place and start the smartphone. There is no doubt that it can solve the problem but only temporarily. This is not a general problem. Those who escaped the units replaced their failure, at least for a while, if not forever.

I think that it is some kind of hardware problem which cannot be easily updated by the software update or patch. But some people have provided simple solution for this problem. Usually users who have installed third party applications are only suffering from this problem. All you have to do is to uninstall a third party application called "One Touch Flashlight" and the problem will be solved. The "Flashlight: 2 for 1" downloaded from the App World can also cause the same problem. So make sure that you will remove those apps which is causing the phone to act weird.
