You need to maintain the Power + Home button for more than 10s (cable unplugged) to turn off the iPhone.
    - Open iTunes on your PC.
    - Maintain the Home button and connect the cable to the PC.
    - Break the home button when iTunes window tells you have spotted an iPhone in recovery mode.
    - Agrees to restore.

Recboot is a new program for Mac and Windows to put the iPad in "Recovery mode" or leave with one click from your computer. No need to press the Home button and the Power button for several seconds, the tool does it all!
Use of the beast is all that is simple. Two buttons, one to enter recovery mode and the other for exit. To operate, follow these instructions:

    1. Download Recboot for Windows and Mac
    2. Connect your iPhone / iTouch
    3. Click a button and wait few seconds.

To place your device into DFU, we must maintain POWER and HOME until the camera shuts down, Then when it goes off, you must release the power button and hold the HOME button pressed for ten seconds. IPad is now in DFU mode. Switch to Recovery:
The recovery mode allows you to restore a device that would have failed jailbreak or unbootable ...
    - Turn off your device
    - Press the Home button and connect the device to the computer (PC or MAC) with the USB cable while keeping the home button pressed until the appearance of this logo
    - To exit DFU or Recovery mode, we must remain pressing buttons Power and Home until the expiry of the device.

Use the following procedure to enter your iPad in recovery mode: If the iPad is already in recovery mode, you can skip immediately to Step 6.
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from the iPad, but leave the other end connected to the USB port of your computer.
    2. Turn off the iPad: press the Sleep / Wake button and hold it for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then drag it. Wait for the iPad off.
3 If you can not extinguish the iPad with the cursor, hold the Sleep / Wake button and Home button and keep them pressed. When the iPad off, release the Sleep / Wake button and Home button.
    4. Reconnect the USB cable while holding the Home button pressed. When you reconnect the USB cable, the iPad will light.
