How do I factory reset to clear All of my private data on my LG vx8300

Friends, I have bought a new cell phone to replace my LG VX-8300. I am giving my old phone to one of my friend but I want to delete all the contacts and every detail which was saved to it during my use. I heard that factory restore will do this. Can anyone tell me how Factory reset delete all the personal data. I searched on internet and gone through the manual but it does not helped me much. Please help.

Hi, I have not used that phone anytime before so I don't have much idea about it. But as you told that you want to do the factory setting then I think that option will be in the Setting. Click on that option and it will ask for the security code. You may find that code in the manual of the phone. Type it and press OK. This will start restoring the phones factory settings ans will restart automatically. After that all the data and contacts will be deleted from your phone.

You should follow the following steps to reset LG VX8300 but you have to make sure that you have activated any other phone on the same account before doing this.

1. Go to menu- zero key and enter six zero as the code.
2. Now press service program.
3. Scroll to phone # (MDN), and press the zero key 10 times.
4. Now keep on pressing OK button till the phone resets.

Here is the way to reset the phone to the default factory setting.

• Go to Setting and tools.
• Select system.
• Find the option for Security.
• Enter the lock code. It will be usually last four digits of your number.
• Seset Default.
• Press OK button.
• Choose revert and this will restart the mobile and you will find that phone will be back to default setting.
