Create website compatible with iPad

I create a website in html some time ago and I would like to make it compatible for an IPAD or adapt it for IPAD. The website will not be available on the networks, but only internally. Does any one has done this before. If any idea then please post back. Thank you.

A web site that meets the standards (which does not include Flash) must be consulted on an iPad, like on any other machine with a web browser, too. The fact that the site is on a private network has no importance. What you could do is just to optimize the layout for your iPad format.

I try to put myself in 1024x768 on my macbook and everything fits perfectly. (This is a basic website without menu, just pictures and hyperlinks) However, the website is saved in a folder on my hard drive. (Where is stored all the images and pages of the site in question and the index page). I do not know if it is possible to make the website independent of the IPAD (launch site in one click without going through the folder and index file). The site must be viewed offline (stored on the IPAD, if possible)

For that, you need a software that reads HTML files on the iPad. I think this is Good Reader. To verify the code or the web application you have created. I have not done this before but I think this is the way to do it. I guess I am correct here.

Yes, but it will not store your site. The idea would be (if it works) to store your site with GoodReader and read well. You can not store a site directly readable by Safari in an iPad.
