The smartphone BackFlip Motorola was one of the curiosities of CES 2010 in Las Vegas. Android 1.5, it is characterized by its system of hinge to reveal a full keyboard and the system BackTrack, a sort of touch pad placed behind the screen and allowing handling without obscuring the view with his fingers. The Motorola BackFlip is a mid-range smartphone with touch screen 3.1 "and 5 megapixel camera (with LED flash and autofocus). It is a quadband GSM / GPRS / EDGE and triband UMTS / HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, with wireless connectivity and Bluetooth and WiFi with an A-GPS module.

The unit also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSDHC card slot. Its 1420 mAh battery provides up to 7 hours and nearly 400 hours standby. The hinge system allows the aircraft on a table to watch a video but also triggers an automatic mode "awakening" with display Time and alarm management. BackFlip runs on the Motorola Android 1.5 and uses the dedicated interface Motoblur unveiled by Motorola in the fall of 2009 and brings together all the information in the digital social life of users by posting the latest updates to Facebook status, Twitter, MySpace, Skyrock LastFM, etc.

The Backflip embarks therefore more Android 1.5 (I will stress this point) the 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, but also a microSD slot (up to 32GB, this slot is simply indispensable in the sense that the mobile has only 512MB of internal memory), a 3.5mm jack and a 5 megapixel sensor (LED flash), cut for both photo and video. Okay, do not get excited, photos taken using this Backflip, although still adequate overall, are far from being able to see a brilliant result.

Motorola backflip equipped with Android in its version 1.5, the mobile has more of the famous house MotoBlur interface, less effective than Sense interface of HTC, but far from devoid of utility, since it will allow you collage access to 5 offices, but also widgets Twitter, Facebook, MySpace (ahem ...), Picasa and others. Besides that, she will also be able to centralize and synchronize (assuming you decide to create an account Motoblur ...) your Twitter accounts, Facebook, etc..

Its LCD screen is a touchscreen model showing a diagonal of 2.8 inches to 65 536 colors and a resolution of 240 x 400 pixels (WQVGA). Besides, there is a small digital camera 2 megapixel with flash and a music player compatible with all major video formats. For storing data, it has an internal memory of 80MB and an expandable to 16GB with a microSDHC slot. Synchronization through USB or Bluetooth.
