The difference in both the laptop is not much as you compared the physical appearances. The major difference between both is the price as the second laptop that you have mentioned is costlier and the resolution capability are higher in that. So, if you want to buy them there is not a big difference which one you buy.

If you are using the 1366x768 LCD Laptop that will provide you with the HD (High definition) by which you can watch HD ready 720p movies and if you are using the 1920x1080 LCD Laptop then you can watch Full HD movies from them such as Blue-ray if it has a blue-ray drive or just stream Full HD movies as well as Hd ready material. The difference is in the picture quality and the second laptop provides better quality pictures.

There is not much difference between both the laptop but the resolution in the second laptop is higher as you have provided. The cost will be higher of the second one as the quality of the picture is better in that. So, if you want to see the good quality movies and the want to play high end games then you should go for the second laptop.

The Dell and HP laptops come with the different resolution and with different prices this is the only difference between them. If you need to buy a laptop for general purpose then you can buy any one of them but if you are looking for the gaming and the high quality pictures and movies then you can go for the second one. So, According to your requirements you can select the laptop.

These resolutions in the laptop varies according to the pixel sizes and the laptop with the higher resolution provides a better picture quality if you are using the blu-ray technology. The laptop with higher resolution will always cost you higher as compare to the low quality pictures, so you should go according to your requirements.
