Equipped with a powerful processor Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6 GHz ( with Turbo Boost up to 2.8 GHz) and with a budget of memory with 8 GB DDR3 1066 MHz, this device points to the highest level of performance and does not linger even in the face of software binding.

Being a laptop gaming- oriented the G73JH is equipped with a high performance video card ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB GDDR5 VRAM. The combination of these three factors makes the new jewel of a real home ASUS desktop replacement. For example, during testing, the notebook scored a score of 7,912 in PCMark05 and 3DMark06 in 13,107. These scores presage great potential in every area. However, this model is positioned slightly below dell' Alienware M11x.

The ASUS G73JH is proposed with a generous 500 GB hard driveat 7,200 rpm , but is it possible to install two units to achieve the remarkable ability to 1 TB. The hard drive was rather fast and very quiet despite the higher speed. The optical drive is a Blu - ray Combined with a DVD. This is a perfect choice considering the display 17.3 inches and resolution Full HD (1.920x1.080 pixels) in this notebook is provided. The LED backlightAs well as save energy, it shows a moderate ally against the effects of light reflection, although it is a type Glossy panel.

Re: Toshiba Qosmio X505-Q887 vs ASUS G73JH-A2 Laptop

In this ASUS G73JH-A2 Laptop the battery is lithium -ion 8 cells (14.8V, 5200mAh, 75Wh). However, as expected, autonomy is one of the weaknesses of this device, good or bad, needs a lot of energy to operate. Setting minimum levels of brightness and simply browsing the Internet, we were able to work little more than an hour and a half. Side software, you can find titles like WinDVD8 BD, Nero 8 Essentials, ASUS Express Gate Fancy Start, AI Recovery and other proprietary application for maintenance.

The ASUS G73JH is about 56.9 x 320 x 415 mm and weighs 3.85 kg whereas the battery. It is not specific to "popular” but on the other hand, the form factor does not leave room for improvement too. However, the G73 seems pretty solid and robust, with a blend of high quality and using appropriate materials. Significant decreases were observed in case of pressure or the less resistant.
