    tx2500 motherboard in a tx1000 chassis

currently i am using tx1000 chassis and facing graphics problem. I am thinking to replace the motherboard will be a better idea for me. I am planning to replace it with tx2500 mobo. The problem is that whether tx2500 motherboard is compatible with tx1000. If you know about it compatibility please provide me with the essential information. Thank you in Advance.

The problem is the price of the processor and tx2000 & tx2500 have both active and passive screen. I suggest you to buy tx2500 TPC instead of buying tx2500 motherboard. Because the motherboard tx2500 will cause you almost $500 if you got the used one and the new tx2500 will you cause $700. So for me tx2500 tablet PC is better choice after keeping in mind the issues of the previous model.

Before going for tx2500 you can read this valuable information. The tx2500 is some mm wider then tx1000. The tx2500 uses different fan device. So you need to buy the new fan.The video slots are same but it refuses to boot when the screen plugged in. YOu can upgrade you laptop by spending $600. Purchase tx2500 which may cost $200, fan at $30, new screen $250. So that's my suggestion to you but finally your decision is final.

    Re: tx2500 motherboard in a tx1000 chassis

I have planned to upgrade my HP laptop. The 1000 card does not work with 2500 mobo. It is unsupported that's why won't even start up. It halts before boot. It work fine with other optical drive but it wont work fine with mine. I have upgraded it by changing mobo, LCD, CPU, fan and wifi. The only part i have not upgraded is RAM, HD and audio plugs. I had spend upto $570 to upgrade it. So now i am having it working fine. So you can even go for Tx2500 if you can afford it.
