Nokia 1208 / USB Cable

I am using Nokia 1208. I am very happy with the phone. Its a basic phone as I needed. I am searching for a USB cable which this phone can support. I have searched on internet but not found any information about it. There is no website which can provide the specification for that. I found some sites which says that there is no USB support for this phone but I can see a USB port at the bottom of the phone.

Can you help me to connect my phone to computer or I should accept that is does not support the USB connection.

You got the right information that it does not support the USB connection. There is a USB port available at the bottom of the port but you will not get a USB cable for that. You should not wonder for the cable because I know that it can not be connected to computer. It is the basic phone used for calling and texting. Don't aspect USB connection from it.

You can see that there is no USB connection. and I think it will give you a clear idea about your phone.

Hi Friend,

Nokia 1208 is the most basic phone which is mainly designed for texting and calls. You can not connect it to your computer, I mean I does not support the USB connection in any manner.

The slot or the port which is there between the charger connector and headset connector is not a USB slot. It is made for the technicians only at Nokia care point.

Ok thanks for the information. Actually my charger is not working. Its pins which are there at the charging port are broken and it is not able to charge the phone. I am also having a computer which is always on therefore I was thinking to charge my phone via USB connection.

But now I think is it not possible to do this. I am going to buy a new charger. Again thank you very much for the information.

Usually Nokia phones cannot be charged by the USB connection. The only phone which I know can charge via USB cable is Nokia 6500 classic. This is the only phone in nokia brand phone which can be charged by USB cable. In your case as you told that you pins of your charger port are damaged then you should go to nokia care point. They will fix this port.

Charging your Nokia 1208 by USB cable is not impossible. It is technically possible but you need a special software to do that. Technicians at nokia support are using that software. This software can not be supplied to generic public or even sanctioned by Nokia. If you use this software then it will void your warranty.
