Gateway 7811fx overheat and troubleshooting issue

I use a Gateway 7811fx laptop and the problem is that it gets overheated. I do not know what could have been the problem. When I try to make use of the thing that is while playing games the system freezes and I am not able to get sort of the same well that is essential.
