Upgrading Cpu on Dell Inspiron 1520 from C2D 1.66 to

hello,
the laptop which i am currently using is of the del inspiron 1520 where its performance is about C2D 5450 1.66 ghz,where i would like to improve its performance by upgrading it.The configuration must be in such a way that reaches upto dual core 2.0ghz.The upgradation is concerned with the gpu effect is solved, so that the games such as the sc2 are easily played on my laptop with the fps of near about 40 to 50.

As the cpu of the dell inspiron has to be upgraded at near to the configuration of dual core 2.0ghz, and you like to have its life span of at least two years. I would like to recommend you to upgrade your cpu to T7500 which will definitely help you in improving the speed, the cache which is available is of the 4mb, which may help in improving the performance for your game.

The requirement of better configuration for your cpu for the performance level,as the sp2 game has to be played with better fps,i would like to inform you to having so much big conversion for your current processor, may have some effect for your new cpu since,you may try even for making the changes within the ram as it may boost up the performance.

The idea which you are having in your mind to upgrade your cpu, which i feel according to me it won't always work, but alas the heating problem will last,as per the performance is considered according to me is just depends upon the ram which you use, try to use the 4gb ram, the cpu itself is not responsible for the performance for its power usage, you may go to the task manager and check the cpu usage.
