Re: Dell Studio 17 with 5650 or 4670

I would suggest you to go for the 4670 because this is the high-end segment, ATI supplied with the dual-GPU card Radeon HD 4870 X2, while the remaining two classes are not yet addressed by the Radeon HD 4000 series. As of today the situation is changing however, and the important (because most volumenträchtigsten) Mid-range models of the Radeon HD 4600 series will be presented to the public. The series consists of three cards that will go with a marginally different price and an equally small power difference at the start.

For an entry-level laptop, Radeon 5650 is really a good config, you can play a world of war craft , counter strike , the sims, prince of persia, fear .... in full. You can also make out games like Assassin's Creed, far cry 2 ... but low, maybe medium but I believe it too. Now it is safe for one fixed PC is not a good choice, whether the i3 as 5650 but it is not the case

The two new graphics cards AMD followed up with its Radeon 3000 series (R600) started already Strategy. The maps of the middle class do not appear unless upper class and high end are the same chip architecture captured by. Call the processor of the 4850 and 4870 - they are AMD's upper class - RV770, that is the GPU of the new middle class RV730 cards.

You say 5650 is not bad crap. I have a 4650 coupled to an E5200 (thus gen Proco less and less powerful) and that this is Crysis, GTA 4, or Shattered Horizon, all my games going on. Crysis is the only one I count the fps, I'm in the low 50 fps average with max physics to 35, while high to 15-20 (no AA of course). GTA 4 is very fluid and Shattered Horizon with all the negative experiences of people with the 4870 I did not think it would roll, and whether (HS: a pity that few people play.

For the brand of AMD graphics, we are entitled to a new chip, the RV730 architecture which incorporates RV770 behind the Radeon HD 4850 and 4870. The number of vector units decreases, necessarily, but we still found 64 groups of 5 units or what we had on the Radeon HD 3850 cards midrange there a year ago. What offer, finally, a graphics card with 70 euros which they can play in good conditions?
