If you are having problem with the video drivers then you have to make note that if you are having any overclocking utility already install in your computer then ensure that you set it to its default original BIOS before uninstalling or installing the video drivers. Then you can to the computer setting and uninstall the drivers and go for your new drivers.

You want to uninstall your previous drivers the in your start menu go to control panel then click on add or remove programs and uninstall in the particular order .Initially uninstall the ATI display driver then uninstall the ATI Catalyst Control Centre and at last uninstall the ATI Software Uninstall Utility. Make a note that after each unistallation don’t try to reboot your computer unless you remove all drivers from the control panel.

You want to install the new driver the firstly, remove your older drivers and then reboot your computer. There is another shortcut method for this. Get down to the start menu and click on the Run program and then type msconfig and start tou your BOOT.INI tab and then tick mark on the box of safeboot. Then click on Apply and then OK then just restart your system .

In your operating system you have to see whether all the pervious ATI’s files have been removed from the computer. There are many programs available which helps to clean the registry and hidden files, mainly the VGA ones. The program which I use to clean in my PC is the CCleaner which also help out in the deletion any files which were left behind.
