HP Officejet 6500 e709a Series "HP Imaging Device not Found"

I have a HP Officejet 6500 e709a Series scanner. In Windows Vista, the following message appears on the computer when i use the HP scanning software (HP Solution Center Scan button or the product) with an all-in-one connected to a USB port: Device Scan found . My product is connected through the network and not via a USB connection. Please help. Thanks in advance.

To ensure that materials in the product works properly, use it to make a photocopy. If you are unable to make a copy of this document will not help solve the problem. In this case, look on the HP website a document relating to the error message appearing on the computer while copying. Some of the following solutions require restarting the computer. So remember to save this page in your favorite browser to be able to return after you restart the computer.

Follow these steps to make sure that the right product is selected in the HP Solution Center software installed on the computer. The HP Solution Center gives access to all features offered by scanning your product, including the configuration of the scan button of the product.
    1. In the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon, Then on All Programs on HP and finally on the HP Solution Center .
    2. If you have several HP products, make sure the appropriate product tab is selected.
    3. Search any duplicate entry of the product (as an extra tab at the top of the screen or an additional icon on the left side of the screen). A duplicate entry contains the word Copy next to the product name. For example, a tab could be duplicated called: HP Officejet Pro K8600 Copy 1 .

The icon on the USB cable is expected to be turned up when the cable is connected correctly. If you are not sure how to connect the USB cable to the device, see the documentation for your device. Check the cable to make sure it is connected according to instructions. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer. If the cable is properly connected to the device, reconnect it and try again to perform a scan.

Direct connection USB cable between the device and the computer
    1. Connect the USB cable to another USB port available. For example, if the USB cable is connected to port before the computer, connect it to one of the rear ports.
    2. Restart the computer and the device.
    3. Try to perform a scan.

Follow these steps to delete temporary files and folders.

    2. The Disk Cleanup utility analyzes the hard disk and then displays a report containing a list of options with checkboxes. Check the boxes to remove unnecessary components. The Disk Cleanup utility frees up space on the hard drive of your computer by performing the following tasks:
