    Toshiba Satellite A305-S6905 BIOS issue

I launched the BIOS upgrade from the 1.80 to 2.20 and currently the laptop is not going to start properly . Do you have any idea about the method through which I can run the BIOS upgrade again from the boot disk or downgrade the same back to the 1.80 ?

As of currently the system starts to boot, windows splash screen came up for a new seconds, a BSOD flashes for near about one second and then after the post process getting starts once again. I am running with the A305-S6905

This is just because of the system incapability. Actually, it can be happened with the system in case of any internal corruption.

According to me, it seems as occurred because of the Windows system file when you are trying to perform the BIOS Flash. Commonly, it assumes very risky and in case if your windows file has been corrupted then you need to perform the fresh installation of windows or you have to try for the same in the safe mode.

I have recorded the blue screen and captured the same :

    Typical blue screen:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to protect it...if this is the first time..etc
check for termination on HDD etc etc
    Technical information:
    STOP: 0x0000007b (0x0BA4CF524, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 )

Moved with the Windows XP because that is exactly the owner of the laptop needed to do ... I have tried to go for the repair installation by starting this up from the Windows XP bootable disk and it loads all the files and then I got the BSOD which states , same warning but

    Technical information:
    STOP: 0x0000007b (0xF78D2524, 0x00000000, 0x00000000 )

Finally ,I entered into the BIOS and configured the SATA controller mode from AHCI to compatibility mode and it started. Restarted and running the chkdsk
It seems to be with the SATA driver problem . Do you have any idea to resolve this new one issue ..

Yeah . You found the 0x7B STOP error because of the installation of the Windows XP package and it does not have the driver for the SATA controller.

    0x7B OR 0x0000007B sata xp

I am getting that the compatibility mode does not move to do as well as the AHCI. There is some SATA-controller driver for the same model specified onto the European site. Mostly the best to merge the driver at the time of performing the installation.

I have discussed about the same topic to other online experts anthey suggested me something related to the same, Actually, I finished the downloading of the file desktop of the machine.

As they have suggested that "do a iata96enu.exe -a from the command line utility, you will get the files that would be extracted in the location specified C:\Program Files\Intel\ and go ahead with them to perform the update procedure of the driver at the device manager.

I tried to extract from the command prompt in the windows and stated that it is not detected as an external or internal command, operable program or batch file
