| Re: Satellite P500 sometimes won't wake from sleep
I had the same problem. I therefore see the manufacturer's technical support for my pc. So, with their news, I was in config panel. then device manager, if you request to an authorization then there is the NIC CLICK above, go to properties then power management, if permission to pause is checked, then checked where cancellation also USB ports for the mouse can also be involved (personally I removed it to avoid having to wake unwanted, I turn back either with the keyboard where the power supply button). also check the game controller, video, for those who have a mouse with transparent borders that may be the cause. It was the network card for me. |

To avoid this, I wake up in the mouse and keyboard settings and everything else (I hope) is disabled, so that only at the touch of the blinking ON again wakes the device from standby. So you can finish from the outside only by that touch the stanby mode. My suspicion is the media center, I'm not on it but how and where you can knock the beast over the knuckles. |

Even if System Restore was not enabled, have you tried to perform a restore to an earlier date? Do you have any installation CD or restore CD with your laptop? I advise you to claim if you do not. I guess the problem is with an operating system's settings. I suggest you to check that is there any windows updates on your laptop or not. |

Go into the Control Panel, Power Options. Search tab "Hibernate", and tick the box "Enable support for hibernation. Beware, it requires as much disk space you have RAM (logical, since hibernation is ready to save some RAM to get any faster ...) Well, I just checked it all on my computer at work, which is under Windows 2000. But in XP, is on hold now the same thing, although some terms may change. And if you do not find it, tell us under what operating system you are. |

you can add a shortcut to "standby on your desktop ... go to: 1 - c: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Office \ office11 2 - find the file Osa.exe 3 - right click create shortcut Osa.exe + Office 4 - back to the office 5 - right click on the shortcut + properties 6 - add-s (do not forget to leave a space before-s) |
