My Laptop Mic is not working! Satellite P505D-S8930 Vista 64Bit

Am having a Toshiba laptop that I bought few days back. In that I have installed its sound card drivers but I am still not able to see it is tuning on. Actually I don't know how to fix it. And in this volume control is also not showing mic volume. I am facing so much of problem regarding this. Can someone leave any suggestion? I am using Toshiba Satellite P505D-S8930. And I would me very grate full.

You are using Satellite P505D-S8930. Ok no problem I will try on your problem. You just try these both I hope it will fix it.

Conexant Audio Driver for Windows Vista / 7 (32bit/64bit) this version is also released in the year of 2009.
Give your try on this. I think it will fix definitely. Cause I searched a lot on this and on one of forum I got this solution. You also try this.

It seems same like my problem. So I have read your post and tried it on my pc. But it didn't resolve my problem. Actually Microphone still not working properly. And that is why I have used external Mic even external webcam also but both are not working at all. I hope someone soon will post the solution of it.

I can't get it. Because your problem is you mic not working properly but when you hav connect your webcam externally it is also not working properly.One thing I know regarding this you just find out in the Device Manager that is devmgmt.msc? And when you got it I hope you will get your solution.

But I have seen this in device manager. And here I can see sound card installed 'Conexant Pebble High Definition SmartAudio' . By using whatever like skype, yahoo messenger or anything but my microphone is not working.Here I am not able to see webcam listed anywhere though. I have install it many times. At the time of installing an error is displayed on the start up of the system saying that device failed to launch device otherwise says system needs to be restarted. So what to do?

In mine pc also I am facing this actually when I turn my pc on then the Toshiba face recognition application an error appears saying that camera device failed to initialize. I am facing this problem in that either the device is in use by another application or otherwise it doesn't recognized by the system. What to do here please give me any suggestion.

Hi crespin, I have tried your solution in my pc. Because On this I have searched a lot but then I come to on your post and then I got the solution. But one my friend also facing it he also try this but it doesn't work in his case. Actually he just bought this laptop few weeks back. I think he would return the computer now.
