HP J4680 Incompatible Ink Cartridge error message

I have HP J4680 printer in my office. After inserting a new black print cartridge in the printer , the following message appears because the printer software has detected an error in printer cartridge black cartridge housing (right ) the print cartridge ." incompatible cartridge . The black cartridge is not compatible with this printer .An error message such as " incompatible cartridge . Use the correct HP cartridge . " appears on the screen of the printer. Pleas help.

You need to Printing an alignment page ensures high quality printing.
1. Place a few sheets of HP Advanced Photo Paper (samples included) in the tray, shiny side toward the front of the printer .
2. Slide the paper against the left side of the tray .
3. Adjust the paper width guide against the right side of the paper without bending .
4. Press OK . An alignment page prints on the first sheet of photo paper . Follow the instructions on the screen of the printer.

The cartridge is perhaps not installed correctly.Open the Scanning Unit ( Printer Cover ) and install the correct cartridge . If the problem persists, the cartridge may be damaged. Contact a HP service support. The cartridge may be exhausted. The function of detecting the level of ink remaining will be disabled because the ink can not be detected correctly .

If you want to continue printing without this function, press [Stop / Reset ] ( Stop / Reset) of the printer for 5 seconds minimum HP recommends using HP new original cartridges for optimum quality. Note that Canon will not be held responsible for any malfunction or problem resulting from the continuation of printing ink in conditions inadequate. Replace the toner cartridge and close the scanner unit ( printer cover ). If printing is in progress and want to continue, press [ Stop / Reset ] ( Stop / Reset ) for 5 seconds minimum with the ink cartridge installed. Printing can then proceed even under conditions of insufficient ink .

The toner cartridge is installed incorrectly, or the cartridge installed is incompatible with this printer. Install an appropriate ink cartridge. Even when the printer is configured for printing with one cartridge , both cartridges (color and black) must be installed. This error occurs if both cartridges are not installed. A slight difference in positioning of the cartridge can distort the connection to the chip , so believe in your material that the cartridge is either defective or incompatible, although check the positioning of it .

Most cartridge manufacturers are now equipped with a chip controlling the flow and allowing the control interface to verify the level of content of these cartridges. Once empty , the chip deteriorates over time and accomplishes more tasks for which it is programmed , where the display of erroneous information or even provocation unrecoverable errors in the machine . The print spooler service . If necessary and for advanced users , the switch to manual mode to deactivate and reactivate it. Also consider emptying the cache . The print queue can take a lot of room especially if one insists on publishing a paper heavy enough and repeatedly.
