Great news for all androinautes, at least for those resident overseas, at least for now, the Motorola Droid 2 (Milestone in Europe) was released this morning at the U.S. operator Verizon. An Android smartphone under the high-end version 2.2 which shows a hardware configuration fairly close to that of X Droid. Equipped with a processor TI OMAP 3630 ARM Cortex A8, running at 1 GHz, the Droid two runs FroYo through the user interface Motoblur. It loads no less than 512 RAM, 8 GB of ROM and 8 GB of internal memory and has a large 3.7-inch touchscreen and a photo sensor of 5 Megapixels.

A large screen so openly to the terminal-oriented image and video also contains a photo sensor digital 8 Megapixels equipped with dual LED flash and can capture video in HD 720p. Finally, it has an HDMI output, so you can experience all the videos stored in his memory in full quality on your flat screen or HD monitor.

Google has benefited from this announcement to reveal that he now recognized 160,000 new activations per day of smartphones running Android. An impressive number if established, since increased over three months ( 90 days ), this would represent 14.4 million units. If this is indeed the case, then it would flow more devices Android than iPhone or BlackBerry. nd the output of X Droid may accelerate more . Indeed , Motorola believes that its future success will be a smartphone above Droid first name . Now it has sold over 2 million copies in just the last quarter of 2009.

As expected , the interface level , Microsoft would have made the household. The interface is very close to the Zune HDBut with a redesigned home screen . Note that this version no longer allow manufacturers to add graphic overlays , as the HTC for example . On the web browser , Windows Mobile is closer to the iPhone on some points . The browser is based on Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 , but also include features of IE8 . But remember above all the fact it does not allow to run Flash content and Silverlight. Microsoft's goal is to offer a navigation experience the same with an iPhone 3G.
