3G Configuration for Blackberry Bold 9700

I have bought a new Blackberry bold 9700 phone and i have noticed that an internet works bit slowly. On the top right side of my screen, there is a WiFi option which states that it has been configured for Wi-Fi instead of GPRS as i have selected for GPRS. But suddenly it gets change to 3G in which i am not able to send SMS messages or connect to the internet. So what could i do for changing the network to 3G.

This seems to be the problem with the firmware of your blackberry phone. Actually this has been seen on many Blackberry phones that it does not works as per the functions. Even my blackberry was not keeping 3G online for much time. I do not know whether there was a timer for making it OFF or not. So i just replaced my piece as it was just 2 days older phone.

To turn on the 3G on your Blackberry Bold 9970 you have to go to the manage connections where you would be having mobile network options. Once you get inside the mobile network then you have to select for the 3G or 2G on the network options. Now your phone would be having 3G enabled so you jusy need to use it.

If your phone is not able to keep your 3G network enabled and it is getting switched to the Wifi then i guess there must be some kind of problem with the operating system of your phone. You have reinstall an operating system on your phone which will definitely solve this problem as it would be having a whole new OS with the default settings.

If you have bought this phone just before some time then i think you should not bother about solving this problem as i recommend you to directly go to the dealer from where you have bought this phone. You must use your phone's warranty to solve this problem. If there would be any major problem then you may get new phone or whatever they do but you would be getting the phone as it were new.
