Samsung Monte Gt-S5620 wifi problem

I have Samsung Monte and BSNL TeraCom Type 2 wifi modem. i have set my modem as open autentication type but when i try to connect my mobile to wifi it says Autentication error. please help me to solve this problem..

Before trying any troubleshoot with your mobile or with the router, i'll suggest you to please try connecting your Samsung Monte with some another wi-fi router, any public router or home wi-fi. This will help you to conclude where is the exact problem.

You can make the things to work out well by following the steps that is mentioned:

• You need to get access to the settings part
• Now enter to System and then to Power
• Navigate to the Wifi Tab
• Uncheck the enable Wifi power saving mode option
• Now you need to connect to wireless network.

I can connect my mobile to my neighbor's wifi but not with my own wifi router..
I have tried to connect my phone with my router in open authentication, 64-bit encryption,128-bit encryption,WPA,WPA2 but every time I get same message "Authentication error"

Hi JasPuneet,
What is the make/model of your router? You can try the below method that was given at the samsung mobile support site:

1. First try to change router's settings to WPA security and TKIP encryption.
2. Enable Wi-Fi on your mobile and search for networks.
3. It will recognize your network with Auth type and Encryption type auto-filled (WPA,TKIP).
4. Type your password and save. Check that it connects.
5. Change router's settings to WPA2 security and TKIP+AES encryption.
6. Your mobile will not change your previously saved settings and will work without any problem.
