GPRS and MMS setting for china E71

I have purchased a new Chinese mobile phone E71 last month. I am looking to setup GPRS and MMS setting on my mobile phone but I don’t know what are the configurations used for it. I am using a Vodafone Sim card by the way. I want Vodafone live setting. If anyone knows how to setup these settings in my phone whether automatically or manually then please give me details about it. Thanks alot.

There are a lot of chinese mobile phone which does not support for the GPRS setting. I suggest you to talk to your customer care executive of your mobile service provider for the same. I hope they will definitely help you on this topic. There are also many china mobile phones that does not support GRPS setting of several service provider, so you can also try to use different service provider for the GPRS settings. Or else you have to change your china mobile handset.

You can use the below settings for your Vodafone Sim card to get internet in your china mobile phone:

Account Name: Vodafone_gprs
Homepage: http://live.vodafone.in
User Name: (no need)
Pass: (no need)

Access Point Settings:
Proxy: Enabled
Proxy Address: 10.10.1.100
Proxy Port: 9401
Data Bearer: Packet Data

Bearer Settings:
Packet Data Access Point: portalnmms
Network type: IPV4
Authentication: normal
User Name: (no need)
Password: (no need)

1.You have to go to the Menu > Services > WAP > Settings

Now Edit Profile – On choice, there is a list so just chose the first or any profile and there will shown two options
1. Activate Profile
2. Edit Profile

And then select Edit Profile and edit the given fields shown below:

1. Rename Profile: Vodafone_gprs
2. Homepage: http://live.vodafone.in
3. Data Account: Vodafone_gprs

Connection-oriented
1. IP Address: 010.010.001.100 give done
2. Security: Off

I had the same problem but with other GPRS supplier
The SIM must be GPRS enabled by your supplier

Which mobile network provider are you using? Usually, now a days, each and every mobile network come with GPRS enabled. In vodafone, the gprs is already activated but to surf the webpages you have to pay 1 paise per 1 kb download I think. Similarly, in reliance, we can use RConnect for rs. 5 per hour or so.
