E63 yahoo messenger

I have purchased a Nokia E63 two months ago. As I was preparing for my exams I have not used it much. Now that my exams are over I am trying to figure the functionalities of this handset. I have read in its feature that the device is useful for instant messaging. So can I install Yahoo messenger on my E63 for chatting?

I doubt whether we can actually download and install the setup of Yahoo messenger on E63. But I know for sure you can install nimbuzz. I have it installed on my E-63 device. The major characteristic of this software is that you can add contacts from windows live, gmail,yahoo, etc. SO I guess you may give it a try.

You do not need to install yahoo messenger on your mobile phone. Instead of that you can use the eBuddy Messenger. This will help you to get in contact with many messaging application such as Yahoo, Windows messenger and even Gtalk. I have got this on my E-72. This is way too better then installing yahoo on your mobile phone

Here are the settings which might be useful for you to setup yahoo messenger on your Nokia E63:

1. Server Name : Yahoo
2. Acces Point in use : Provide your access point
3. Web Address : http://imps.next.msg.yahoo.com/gateway
4. Userid : Your Yahoo Account ID.
5. Password : Your Yahoo Account Password.

These settings are to be applied in the Communication category for the IM application. This shall be the answer for your question.

I also believe that you would not require to install yahoo messenger on e63 and also this might not be supported on you e63. So if you still want to use yahoo messenger you can always make use of Yahoo's web messaging service to send instant messages. But this is very slow and might take time to load.
