Huawai E1750 USB Broadband Modem isn't working with Lenovo ThinkPad A31

I am having a Lenovo Thinkpad A31 laptop and also a Huawei E1750 USB Broadband Modem. But the problem is that when i am trying to connect both of them then Huawei E1750 USB Broadband Modem isn't working with Lenovo ThinkPad A31. I am running the Windows XP SP3. Anyone is having the solution for the same? Thanks in advance.

Did you checked the port is working fine? If not then check the port. Also if other port is free then connect to them and check whether you are getting the solution of it or not. The Broadband USB Modem always work best with the 2.0 port. So try to connect the 2.0 port and see whether you are getting the proper solution or not.

As per your suggestion i have checked and come to know that there is only the 1.1 USB port is available in the Lenovo ThinkPad A31 and no 2.0 USB port found. So i think this the reason behind not getting the Broadband Modem working with the same. So can you please let me know how to make the 2.0 working with the same.

For that i will suggest you to have the PCMCIA USB 2.0 card which will be the best you can do to sort out your issue for which you are looking the solution. PCMCIA USB 2.0 card will allow you to connect the Huawei E1750 USB Broadband Modem to the Lenovo ThinkPad A31 and it will work together without any issue.

I have gone through the detail which you have described me to work with the issue. And i think that the PCMCIA USB 2.0 card is the best that i can do wit the device of mine. But can you please let me know where will i get the compatible version of the PCMCIA USB 2.0 card to work with the device of mine.

I have searched for the PCMCIA USB 2.0 card which will be the compatible with the Lenovo ThinkPad A31 and got one on the shopping site which is known as the eBay. It is having the PCMCIA USB 2.0 card which is costing around the $1.98. I can not provide you the direct link but can advise you to go on to the eBay and search for the same.

I think it is better if you go through the Lenovo help and ask for the PCMCIA USB 2.0 as the new one comes with the warranty and the older one will not have warranty. it can crash any time and you can not claim for a used one. The new one might be little costly but it will be having the good functionality. So suggesting you to go with the new one.
