I am having a serious issue with the Lenovo Thinkpad T61p 6459. When i Power on my device at that time i am getting the beep sound. So i have taken it to the service center and they are telling me that my Motherboard is dead and need to replace. The replacement cost they are charging is $1000 as my warranty period is over and which is closer to the buying cost. I am unable to find any solution for same. So please help me for finding the solution of it.

I think in that case you should have to directly contact the Lenovo regarding the issue which you are getting. As they are the manufacturer and can advise you properly. So contact them and discuss about your issue, might get the solution of your issue. Also let us know about your solution which you got from the Lenovo.

I have gone through lots of complaint on the Internet regarding this issue as many of the user of the Lenovo Thinkpad T61p are facing the problem with their device. But could not get any solution regarding their problem. So it is better to contact the Lenovo and let the know about the issue. Hope this will help you a bit.

Even if your Warranty Period is over then also you can get the repairing for free as the problem is with the GPU and not with any other device which is because of the faulty GPU installed in the Laptop. And motherboard is having the warranty of the three years which i don't think that passed in your case. So contact the lenovo.

Hey thanks for the reply that you have given me regarding the Motherboard issue of mine and help given by all of you is much appreciated.
