Will A-GPS work only if data plan is enabled on 3G iPad

Hello everyone i have been looking forward to buy an apple iPad, But before that i would like to clear my doubts .Is it possible using 3G apple ipad without subscribing a data plan. I mean to say that whether can i use the 3G apple ipad by tethering my apple iphone. Any help in this matter would be appreciated heavily.

Hi i think that you can use A-GPS on your iPad if you are fulfill the three conditions which are mentioned below:

• IPhone 3G / 3G Jailbreak
• An iPad WiFi jailbreak jailbreak or not it does not matter
• A 3G connection active on your iPhone

Thanks Gonzo for the quick reply i would like to tell you all the above conditions are fulfilled by me that is i am having an iphone 3G/3G jailbreak Also i have an active 3G iPhone connection. you have also mentioned that the ipad wifi jailbreak is not much important. so please tell me how can i get to the solution please help me as soon as possible.

Follow the below steps.

• Start MyWi on the iPhone and make sure it is in 3G.
• In MyWi a name for your WiFi network.

If for security reasons you enable Web security, you will only have more to enter your wep when choosing a WiFi network on your iPad.

• Activate WiFi Tethering passing it ON
• Let your iPhone not too far from your iPad

On the iPad, go and select your WiFi network MyWi iPhone, your iPad is then connected to the Internet via the iPhone.
Launch Safari on your iPad and get it without having any 3G network, except that of your iPhone, which offers its 3G.
