Sound coming out of both headphones and speaker on 3g iPod touch

I have been using apple ipod touch from three months. from few days I am getting very strange problem with this ipod. It's internal speaker is working finally. But when I plug headphone, I can hear sound in both ipod touch speaker as well as in headphone. I don't have any idea about how to resolve this type of ipod issue. If you know any solution, then let me know that.

According to me you have not connected headphone to your apple ipod touch and only because of that you are getting sound on both speaker and on headphone. I suggest you to make sure that headphone is properly connected. I was also getting same issue with my ipod, But when I checked, found that headphone was not properly connected.

I am facing same problem with my ipod. I have gone through various solutions, but nothing was helpful. I also checked my headphone connection with ipod but it connects properly. I am totally confused because of this ipod issue. I don't know if there is any fault in my headphone or my apple ipod touch is having some problem. Please help me over this ipod issue.

As per your query it seems that headphone of your ipod touch is having some problme and which generates this problem. There is only one solution to this issue and it is to replace this faulty headphone. I also had same problem with my ipod and I also did the same thing as mentioned above to resolve this issue.

I think your ipod touch comprises some serious problem. That causing this type dual sound issue. If you have tried the changing of headphone and still having same problem. Then I suggest you to contact the nearest service center of your apple ipod touch. I think this is the ultimate solution over this issue.

I think you should refer following solutions:

Check if headphone is properly connected or not.
Replace your ipod headphone with new one.
If above doesn't helpful, the replace your ipod touch.

There are many factors that can cause this type of problem to ipod touch. One them is that your ipod might suffered some internal problem. It is also possible that your ipod headphone is having some problem and which generating this issue. I suggest you to configure some setting for your ipod touch as this might help you.
