You can use upto 2GB at PC2-5300 for the system that you need to work out well for the same. It is essential that is needed to get sort the thing and make the requirement to be fulfilled accordingly. The notebook that you use can support upto 2Gb and I would recommend you to go for 2x1GB SODIMMS of DDR2-667.

Another memory that you can make use of getting the issue to be sorted is by using Lexar 2GB PC2-6400 DDR2 800Mhz 200-pin Memory. It is very much compatible and you can make use of it well under the system that you have. So do upgrade the system using this memory as it is best and will work out well for you as well.

For adding 2GB memory to the system you may need to disable onboard RAM in order to add a 2GB stick to the one slot. So perform the same first and then use up the above mentioned ram memory to get worked well with the system. This will help you out well for getting the issue sorted. So do check out and make the necessary ailments to be fulfilled.
