Acer Aspire D250 Not Turning On

Hello there, I have an Acer Aspire D250 laptop which is installed with Windows XP operating system. The laptop was working fine till yesterday when it shut itself down while downloading some data from the internet and now the laptop wont start. Whenever the power button is pressed, all the LED's on the laptop glow but nothing else happens. So if anybody knows why my Acer Aspire D250 is Not Turning On then please share some information which might help me in solving the problem.

For proper working of the computer is dependent on the proper working of operating system. If the operating system of the computer is not working then the computer will not work properly. There are lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the file which is associated to the operating system is not working properly, the system will crash. Hence try and install the operating system again on the computer and see if the problem is solved.

There is a battery situated on the motherboard of the computer, this battery is responsible for saving all the information for booting of the computer. Open the laptop and locate the battery on the motherboard. Remove the battery and check the voltage across the battery using a Digital multimeter. The voltage of the battery should be between 2.5 to 3 volts. If the voltage of the battery is less than 2.5 volts then the system will not boot and the battery requires to be changed. Replacing the battery will solve the problem.

The functions which are performed by the computer are controlled by the motherboard. The devices which are connected to the computer are provided correct voltage levels by the motherboard. Hence if the motherboard of the laptop is faulty, the laptop will not work properly. Take the laptop to the nearest service center and get the motherboard of the laptop checked and if the motherboard is faulty get it replaced.

The laptop was working when it shut itself down. Therefore there is high possibility that the battery of the laptop is out of charge due to which the laptop is not starting. Sometimes the battery of the laptop does not get charged when it is connected to the charger. If such a situation occurs then the laptop will work only till the battery is having enough charge. Hence connect the laptop to the charger and let the battery charge for about 3 to 4 hours. After charging the battery for 4 hours check if the laptop is booting.

Try clearing the residual charge from the laptop and see if it is able to connect to the network. Residual charge gets stored in the laptop near the RAM chips and the display. If the voltage of the residual charge reaches threshold level then certain components of the laptop will not work properly. To clear the residual charge from the laptop, shutdown the laptop and remove the battery. Press and hold the power button of the laptop for about 30 seconds. Release the button and replace the battery. Check if the network connectivity works.
