Connect my studio 1536/1537 laptop to my tv?

I am having the Dell studio 1536/1537 laptop his has the Windows Vista operating system installed in it. I want to connect this laptop with my television so that i can see movies on the television screen rather than watching it on the small laptop screen. So i want to connect the studio 1536/1537 laptop to my television. I am here to get the information about that.
