Toshiba Mini NB205 -n311: How can I increase the max resolution to 1024x768?

Hello Friends,

I recently bought Toshiba mini NB205-N311 laptop. But I am having some issue with it's display resolution. The maximum resolution over my Toshiba laptop is about '1024x600'. But the thing is that I have to increase it to the '1024x768'. I have tried many things, but unable to achieve this resolution. If you know any solution to make the resolution of my laptop to 1024x768, then please let me know that. I am waiting for your reply.

The native resolution of the panel in that system is 1024x600 and that's actually the only resolution that will fill the screen and appear proper. 1024x768 is a ordinary resolution for the old 4:3 screen aspect ration. Your computer system has a wide screen panel and therefore a wide screen resolution. So the thing is that the display resolution that you want to apply is not supported for your laptop.

Please follows below steps to set the resolution at 1024x768:

• First right click over desktop, and select properties.
• The next step is to click over setting tab.
• Here you will see the 'Screen resolution' option.
• You need to set it's value to '1024x768' and click 'Apply'.

I am trying to explain why you did not see the option for 1024 x768. To observe it you have to set the driver property to give you an idea about non-supported resolutions. Try right click on the desktop, select property. Go to setting tab, advanced, then monitor tab. Deselect Hide modes so as to this monitor cannot display.

It seems that you have not installed the display driver, and because of that you are not able to change the screen resolution to the 1024x768. I suggest you first install the display driver for your Toshiba laptop, then after it's installation restart your system. And then see if you get 1024x768 option for screen resolution or not.
