BlackBerry Curve 8520 Shortcuts

Hi,
I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 mobile to use. It is a nice mobile but I am finding quiet hard to use this phone while typing mails and messaging. Like I am not able to locate the capital letters and inserting a number in the middle of the text. Also in a web page how to locate a specific word. It is like finding Ctrl + F in a web browser. To select a line of text press the Shift key and drag your finger up or down on the trackpad. To select some text, character by character to hold down the Shift key and drag your finger left or right on the trackpad. To cancel a text selection, press Esc. To cut selected text for an entry: press the Shift and Cancellation / Backspace. To copy selected text for an entry: press the Alt key and click on the trackpad. To Paste selected text for an entry, press the Shift key and click on the trackpad.

Here are some tips and shortcut for using Quick search on BlackBerry Curve 8520. To find a contact in a contact list you can just enter the contact name or initials separated by a space. Then you can see the relevant results. To search for text in a message press S. To search for text in an attachment or on a web page press F and then search for the relevant text.

You can also perform quick entry in BlackBerry Curve 8520 phone. This makes the phone much easier to use. If you want to insert a point then click twice on the Space key. The following letter is capitalized. And if you wan to capitalize a letter then simply hold down the letter key until the capitalized letter appears. In the same to enter another character of a key, press the Alt key and press the character.

For adding a special character in the message you will need to keep the letter key and drag your finger left or right with the trackpad. And if you want to add a number into a Number field, press a key figure. By this you can then insert a mobile number or any model number in the page. For entering number in a text field, hold down the Alt key and press the key figure.

Just press Alt and Shift Left to lock the phone. And then to unlock the same you will need press the Shift key for a amount of time and then leave once it unlocked. The capital letters stays locked while typing. You can press the Alt key and then the Shift key to the right side to make it work again. To unlock the uppercase letters, press the Shift key.
