Unlocking a Telus Blackberry storm

Hello, I need some suggestions about unlocking of Blackberry Storm. The Blackberry storm which has Telus connection and now I want to change the service provider so I want to know the steps for Unlocking a Telus Blackberry storm. So please share some information. Thanks in advance.

I would suggest that you do not unlock the blackberry storm as it the warranty of the phone will get void. Unlocking of the phone is not a supported by the manufacturer and hence the warranty of the phone is void if the phone is unlocked. The reason behind the warranty getting void is that the settings or the hardware of the phone has to changed during the unlocking process of the phone. So according to me Unlocking of the phone is not a good idea.

The best way to unlock the phone is to contact the network provider which has provided the phone to you. Contact the customer care and then get the procedure for disconnecting the connection. You will have to end the contract with the existing network provider. Once the contract has ended, you will have to pay some extra charge for owning the handset. After paying the charge you will get the phone unlocked.

It is not possible to unlock the Blackberry storm which is provided by Bell and Telus communications. But still you can try unlocking procedure which includes changing of the IMEI number of the phone and see if it works. The only way of getting the Telus blackberry unlocked is by contacting the company which will charge you for the termination of contract and the handset but it is the safest way.

There are many websites which are providing free unlocking solutions to lot of users of Blackberry. Search for such a website online and register to the website. After registering, you will be provided with a unlocking code. Enter this unlocking code on the phone and submit. You will receive an error message. When the error message is received, it indicates that the phone has been unlocked, put the sim card of some different network provider and check if the phone is working.

There are two ways in which the Blackberry Storm with Telus connection can be unlocked.
1) It to get an MEP code for the phone and then enter it on the phone. To get the MEP code, you will have to provide the IMEI number of your phone to the unlocking agent. The unlocking agent will generate the MEP code for the IMEI number which you have provided. This method will not void the warranty.
2) Is to remove the unlocking hardware from the phone but doing this will void the warranty.
