Nokia X2-01 SMS & Phone Memory

I had just bought a new Nokia X3-01 mobile phone. After using it for several times I was unable to find certain problems related with my phone. They are:

    1. I am unable to mark or unmark several SMS
    2. How to save SMS which I sent to my friends or to anyone else
    3. My internal memory is approximately 70 MB free but it displays only 40 MB of it as free and after going through this I found out that a file is occupying 20 MB of space which was of no use and I try deleting it but was unable to delete it.

Can anyone help me out with the problems stated here? Thanks in advance for your valuable information.

For saving your SMS in the sent folder you will need to follow the instructions as given below:

    1. Go to Menu
    2. Go to messaging
    3. Go into the settings of messaging
    4. Now select save sent messages from the menu of your device
    5. Now try sending SMS to someone and check out if it works out for you

I guess I am able to resolve the issues pertaining to your SMS sent folder.

I many times saw the same question appearing in some forums and websites where people ask to delete the files from the phone memory. For this purpose, you will need to follow the instructions as given below:

    1. Connect your phone to your PC system in the Mass storage mode
    2. Go to My Computer and type the path as \private\10207114\import
    3. Navigate through the folders and check for the file
    4. As you find the file which is absorbing your memory space try deleting it
    5. Restart your phone now
    6. Check if the file is deleted or not

I just hope your problem is been solved now.

Re: Nokia X2-01 SMS & Phone Memory

I would like to say that there is not a single way to mark your multiple messages from your messaging services. For this you will require to individually visit each message and mark it from there. There is no easy way to mark multiple messages here using Nokia X2-01. You would have to just go to the options when you are at the message from whichever the folder is then you can select the command which you want to perform. As there is no easy way to select your messages you will need to do it individually by yourself.

Re: Nokia X2-01 SMS & Phone Memory

    Hello,

Recently purchased X2-01 mobile. But am fed up with my kids hooked onto the games which are present in the same .

Can someone please revert as to how can we lock the Games Folder - located in Apps-Extras-Games.

I prefer to not to delete the games, which can be given to them occasionally.

Pls revert as to how can I lock the same / move it to some other directory, from where the kids may not be able to locate the same easily.

    warm regards...bobby

I know that one can lock the messages by using folder lock Software available. However I am not having idea regarding the locking of the games provided on the phone. But you can contact the nearest Nokia Care and get the idea on the same.
