Need help with phone LG Neon te365

Hello everyone, I am facing some problems while using the new cell phone which I am using. I have recently bought a LG Neon te365 phone and was getting the feel of it but the phone is giving some problems which are very annoying. The phone does not allow me to keep any song as my ringtone. It says that I have to choose the ringtone from the DRM files which are available. If I am not wrong, then it is possible to keep songs as a ringtone, right? then why is my phone not allowing me to keep songs as the ringtone? I am not able to understand the situation and hence Need help with phone LG Neon te365. Please help.

Check the format of the files which you are trying to keep as the ringtone? Some phones do not support all the audio formats for the ringtone and could be the possible reason behind your problem. LG neon supports mp3 ringtones, so check if the ringtone which you are trying to set is in mp3 format. If the format of the song is different from mp3 then the phone will not support it and hence you will not be able to keep it as your ringtone.

It looks like the phone only supports DRM files for the ringtone and will not support files like mp3 to be kept as ringtone. You can try and convert the song which you want to keep as the ringtone in DRM format and then set it as the ringtone. To convert the mp3 file into DRM file format, you will require a converter application which will convert the format of the file. There are many converter softwares available which can be used, Total video converter is one of the software which can be used for converting the format of the file.

If the songs which you are trying to keep as ringtone is present on the memory card then the phone will not set it as the ringtone. You will have to copy the song from memory card to the phone memory. Once the song is copied on the phone memory, set it as the ringtone and see if it works. Some phones do not support ringtones to be set from the memory card as the memory card is removable and only supports the media files which are on the phone memory. Therefore copying the file to the phone memory will solve the problem.

I am using the same phone and was facing the same problem while keeping mp3 files as my ringtone. I tried to find the solution to the problem and finally found out that the firmware of the phone was corrupt due to which it was not detecting the mp3 files as the ringtone. I got the firmware of the phone updated from the service center and the problem is solved. Hence I would suggest that you get the firmware of the phone updated and see if the problem continues. Updating the firmware to the latest version will solve the problem.
