Display problem in dell inspiron 8600

Hello there, I have Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop which is installed with Windows Xp operating systems installed on it. I am facing some problems with the Display of the laptop. When the laptop is put to sleep and then brought out of it then the display of the laptop turns white for sometime. Also when extra pressure is put on the keyboard, certain lines are displayed on the screen. While running some games the Screen sometimes turns black and only way to get the laptop back to working state is by restarting. So if anybody else is facing Display problems in dell inspiron 8600 then please suggest some solutions. Thanks in advance.

The operating system on the laptop must not be working properly and hence you are facing such problems with the laptop. Operating system of the computer is responsible for taking all the logical decisions and executing applications. Also the operating system of the computer has lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the files which are associated to it gets corrupt or is missing on the computer then the operating system will not work properly and will create problems which are similar to ones which you are facing. Insert the installation disk in the drive and boot the system from the disk. Select the repair installation option and let the procedure complete. After the repair procedure is completed, check the performance of the computer.

All the devices which are connected to the computer, require a set of drivers to be installed on the computer. Drivers act as the mediator between the operating system and the device. If the appropriate drivers for the device are not installed then the device will not work properly. Therefore check if the display drivers are installed and working properly on the computer. To check if the drivers are installed and working on the computer, right click on my computer and select device manager. Highlight the display adapter and if there are any caution signs then follow the troubleshooting procedure. If troubleshooting does not help then try and update the drivers for the display and see if it helps.

As putting pressure on certain parts of the laptop is fluctuating the display of the laptop, it is clear that there is some loose connection of wires in the laptop. Due to loose connection the display of the laptop is fluctuating. If the laptop is under warranty then take the laptop to the authorized Dell service center and get the laptop checked. If the laptop is out of warranty then open it and check all the connections to the laptop are proper. To be sure redo all the connections and see if the problem persists or not.

I think the display problem which you are facing is due to the residual charge which is stored in the laptop. Residual charge gets stored near the RAM chips of the laptop. If the residual charge goes above the threshold level then the system will not be able to access RAM and also will give some problems with the display. Try and discharge the residual charge stored in the laptop and see if the problem is solved. To discharge the residual charge, shut down the laptop and remove the AC adapter. Remove the battery and press power button. Keep the power button pressed for about 30 seconds. Replace the battery and see if the laptop is booting.
