Dell 964 AIO Printer is not working with Windows 7

Hi there, I was using the Windows vista before in which the Dell 964 AIO Printer was working all fine but the problem arise after the up gradation of the OS i.e. Windows 7. Dell 964 AIO Printer is not working with Windows 7 and as i have tried uninstalling and installing the driver but that also does not work for me. So finally asking the same to you hope will get the help for this issue. Thanks in advance

As you have told that you have upgraded from the Windows Vista to Windows 7 then it seems to be the compatibility issue of the Windows 7 which dies not allow the older version of the driver to run with the same. So its better to download the compatible version of the driver from dell and install it on your system. This will definitely resolve your issue.

I am having the same issue with the Dell printer and the Windows 7 which is not recognizing the printer and so that i was unable to print a copy from the dell printer. So i have visited the Dell and asked the same to them. And they have given me solution as the Windows 7 64x driver for the dell printer. After the installation of which i have got the printer of mine working on the Windows 7. So you also do the same might this will help you.

Have checked the connection of the Printer that the power is flowing through it or not. If you are having the bad or loose connection between the PC and the printer then same will be not function properly. So its better to unplug all the cable from the printer and reconnect it to the printer and computer. Try this out hope this will work for you.

If you are getting the compatibility issue then you can try out the Windows XP mode which is the platform for the Windows XP running software to run on the Windows 7 without any issue. Hey thanks a lot for the help that you have provided me to work with the problem of mine as the printer of mine is not detected in the Windows 7. It was due to the compatibility issue that was creating the issue for running the Dell printer on Windows 7. I have upgraded the driver of the printer with the latest one and the problem is resolved.
